Le Festival de films sur les droits de la personne de Montréal (FFDPM) est depuis janvier 2007, membre du Human Rights Film Network (HRFN). Ce réseau international a vu le jour à Prague le 18 avril 2004 pour promouvoir le cinéma comme instrument de dénonciation des violations des droits humains et des libertés fondamentales, et permettre une meilleure circulation des films consacrés aux droits humains peu diffusés commercialement, tout en célébrant les gestes de solidarité internationale.
