In northern Uganda , a civil war has raged for nearly two decades. The film observes the lives of four children, aged 8 to 15, who were abducted by rebels of the Lord's Resistance Army, conscripted as child soldiers and forced to kill people in their own villages.
Ali Samadi Ahadi :
Born in 1972 in Tabriz, Iran, Ali Samadi Ahadi studied social sciences and visual communication, then film in Kassel, Germany. He is a film director and editor. Among his films are Geburtstag mit der Omi (1996), Goodbye Matze (1998), and Africa-Mayibuye (2002). Lost Children, which he co-directed, is his first feature documentary.
Emiliano Altuna was born in Argentina, in 1978, and studied filmmaking at the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya in Barcelona . He also studied documentary for one year at Mexico´s Centro de Capacitacion Cinematografica where he made Keep Being , his directorial debut.
Oliver Stoltz :
Né à Bonn (Allemagne) en 1969, Oliver Stoltz étudie le cinéma à Postdam-Babelsberg et à Los Angeles à partir de 1993. Il signe ou produit plusieurs réalisations pour la télévision. Lost Children est sa première coréalisation de long métrage.
Born in Bonn , Germany , in 1969, Oliver Stoltz studied film at Postdam-Babelsberg and in Los Angeles starting in 1993. He has directed and produced a number of television programs. Lost Children is his debut feature documentary as a co- director.
