MHRFF Quebec Prize for Socially Engaged Documentary

Carlos Ferrand takes us on a road movie through the Americas, from Patagonia to the Arctic. The journey is also a return to Ferrand’s past, as he reconnects with people he became friends with over 30 years of travelling. Along the way, he bears witness to the social, political and cultural upheaval that is altering the face of the continent, enriching his narrative with the insightful and eloquent observations of his friends. A poetic meditation on a form of Americanity that is still being defined.
