Summer 2006: War is back in Lebanon. It’s blood-drenched, it’s a punishment for having dared to live... Beirut is crying its houses, its bridges, its children. War is back and brings along its distress, desolation and grief. Its face is still the same and it throws back into the blackened sea those who came for the summer. Those who were there and those who lived it through the eyes of their relatives and friends testify and tell how they survived the fear of losing their lives and their loved ones.

Nada Raphaël
Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Nada Raphaël lives in Montreal. She studied cinematography, communications and journalism. She worked as a sound engineer, assistant director, script, camerawoman, photographer, radio reporter and theatre director. In 2000, she wrote and directed her first movie: Traînée de bruits. She set up her own production company in Montreal, Electrochocks Productions. In her documentaries screened in different festivals, she has a humanistic look on the current events of the Middle-East and more specifically of Lebanon.
