In Galilee, Israel's most ethnically diverse region, a group of Jewish and Arab parents decide to send their children to study side by side. Today, 150 children, aged from 6 to 14 (Muslims, Jews and Christians) study together in Galil–Jalil, a Jewish-Arab school. Each class is half-Jewish, half-Arab and two teachers respectively teach in Hebrew and Arabic, encouraging students to discuss openly their entangled cultures. The adults, both parents and teachers bring into this encounter, their own fears and pains. How can the children deal with this heavy burden? Galil tells the story of the children, parents, and teachers committed to creating an alternative framework, one that models a possible solution to the on-going and seemingly never-ending cycle of violence..
